Underworld Elements – Columbia’s Urban Art Exhibit

For a few months now, a friend and I have been discussing the possibility of having a more “urban” themed art show in Columbia. Until recently, though, it was only talk. Thanks to the amazing Jay Robinson, it’s now a reality.

Jay has secured us an art show hosted at Saluda Shoals Park in Irmo, SC.  Throughout the day, we hope to have all kinds of different art displayed – graffiti, tattoo flash, sculptures, photography, etc.  Hopefully, we’ll also have some graffiti artists (me included maybe?) painting giant boards and canvases during the event – so people can watch and understand the process.  Later that evening, we will clean everything up and have a final, more formal show.

Needless to say, I’m ecstatic.  This summer, my buddy Keith (amazing artist – checkout his stuff) and I will be hard at work, working on a few things to be displayed – and maybe some collaborations if time permits.  In the meantime, I’ll be posting any new work that’s not for sale to my Rybo Flickr set.

Fliers, updates and more general excitement to follow.  Until then, mark your calendars for the Underworld Elements Art Exhibition on October 2nd.  Thanks for your support and stay tuned for more details!
